    I just saw one of those bot users get banned.
    How are they so well programed that they can get past all of the security checks like having to input that pictured word?
    How can they just seem to work on so many different site when the registering process differs from site to site?

    There's a program out that that I can't say the name of because it's blocked by the filter, but essentially, they use it to circumvent the security checks that are in place during the registration process. It does everything. You just fill out the text you want in the "Title" and "Message" boxes, and it hammers hundreds of sites at the click of a mouse.

    This software is constantly being updated, a bit like the way as soon as Apple release a new iOS, they hackers get to work on jailbreaking it ASAP.

    Amazing that it can get past that picture word.

    (a) That would be an enormous task - you're talking about having to vet hundreds of people a day;
    (b) This isn't really about the kind of 'bots' the robotics forum is for :D
