I do apologise in advance if this is in the wrong section !

My girlfriends iPhone 3g has a problem. She can't access the internet or use the sms app Viber. Each time she goes to use it an error message comes up saying "Too many Redirects"

I have searched the web for a fix for this but seems it's peopel with the same problem but no one has found a solution.

Has anyone had this problem and if so I would be very thankful if you could help me sort it out !!

    Thanks in advance guys !!

first thing i would do is a restore in iTunes then double check her network / APN settings to make sure they match the networks config.

thanks for reply. Done all that. I restored, I updated to the latest firmware too..

It's not jailbroken either so it's not a dodgy cracked app either.

this is the link to the site she is trapped to. cpv.trust5.com

I have read that it might be some bug on the particular site ?

theres a user here called Viber, who is a rep for the app, perhaps PM him?

@Guil. That was the first thing I did. still did nothing. I find this problem very strange that I can't find a solution for it anywhere online !!

have you tried resetting network settings, settings>general>reset and then reset network settings

also when you restored, did you restore from backup or restore as a new phone

restored as a new phone. I have reset everything in the phone.

It seems to be the site. O2 said it's a streaming site but I opened it on my mac here and it directed me to an O2 webpage. I think they have a dodgy page on their site and just don't want to take responsibility for it..

that cp5 link redirects to o2 social link, it isn't supported for the iphone so you need to login to her account on o2.ie or call them and see is there a way to unsubscribe from it

the prepay data add on works in a similar way, if it expires and you don't have credit the internet wont work when you get credit unless you purchase the add on again or unsubscribe from the service

you could also try opening safari and open a new page and close the first that is getting redirected, could be as simple as that
