    Hi Guys,
First time install of windows 7 64 bit ultimate just now...
Very inpressive looking but i want to run my old apps from win xp pro which are 32 bit.

    Things like autocad, office etc
Office 2010 32 bit wouldnt install just now...
    Anyone any idea's?

I have installed the windows virtual xp machine on 7, but I really dont want to have to use that for all my apps.

WOW64 is supposed to help with this but i dont know how to use it!!
    Anyone?
    Thank you!

64-bit Windows retains support for running 32-bit programs, so that shouldn't be why they're not installing for you? Office 2010 in particular should install and run without any problems.

Do you get any error messages when trying to install your applications?

Yep, its the 16bit programs that you will have trouble with
