Very much depends on your defenition of mig gasless. Theres two types, first is the diy range, like draper et al that use 0.6mm flux cored wire that is ok for very light steel- very spattery, not hugely pretty, but acceptable for small quantities/thin section where apperance is not important and a stick welder would blow holes.
The other type is the heavy-duty flux cored wire, which requires a decent sized plant, special wire feed rollers, a fair bit of skill and very good protective gear. I use this type for outside works, running a wire feed unit off a diesel genny welder, where the wind would blow away shielding gas. The spatter is serious-you need good leathers and a good mask or you will get burnt everywhere, but the weld is strong and it's very useful. Then again, my set-up cost just south of 20k, so you need a good use for it. The diy ones for a couple hundred euro are ok if you are fixing up a car body or other small works, but why bother when a gas version with disposable bottles will weld better, weld neater, require less technique and cost much the same as the (dear) flux cored wire, over time.:)

Depends very much on the welder (machine)

We used a hobby type machine for years with flux cored wire, it worked brilliantly. It originally came with a tiny bottle of gas but that was a disaster hence the change to gasless.

I got my hands on a ALDI/LIDL (can't remember) version for peanuts and its rubbish to the point of being ignored. Our Chinese inverter MMA is far better TBH.

PS anyone have a pure Argon (not Argoshield) cylinder to sell?

Slidey the auld fox knows you should not sell those bottles as I believe they stay the property of BOC or whoever, you only can rent them...
