Boring Neverending Michael Jackson Coverage on Sky News

Its absolutely ridiculous, I want the days news when I get in from work not 3 hours of arguing about whether an empty bottle was on the nightstand or on the floor beside the nightstand.

Even on a Saturday they're showing 'highlights' of the weeks events and its indistinguishable from the live coverage because its so dull and monotonous. For fecks sake we might be slipping back into recession, world markets are sliding and they've barely touched on it for the last week.

Its just too easy and cheap for them to sit on their asses with the live feed running.

A show trial and no-one does show trials better then the Americans, this is an advertisement to the world as to why cameras should not be allowed in a court.

Back in the days when $ky were the only news channel readily accessible here I remember the wall to wall coverage of the trial of someone called OJ Simpson I was asking myself

    1) Who the fup is OJ Simpson (Back in the day he wasnt widely known outside the States)
    2) What kind of sad gits actually sit through all this shyte ?
    3) Why are they showing this (is it because it costs the UK operation virtually nothing) ?

They don't have to pay for the court coverage so they are saving a lot of money. That's why it's wall to wall

    Legally/technically anyway!

Unofficially, its a gossip newsletter with a bit of sport thrown in at the end.
There is others out there in the same vein sadly.

Id rather watch it than listen to all the doom and gloom. It was interesting to see them cross examine the witnesses. Ive a feeling he's going to be found innocent. Its a joke that the Jackson's went ahead with this. They knew for years Michael was addicted to these drugs.

Yeah it seems like they've been looking for another OJ Simpson trial for a while. I remember the last Michael Jackson one where it was all actors and then they had the Amanda Knox one. I do enjoy watching them though I have to say. I find it a little like 24 or Lost or something where if you haven't followed it quite closely all along then you're f**ked if you try to start.

Americans are obviously hungry for these 24-news station trials, it seems to fit their media model very well. I'd expect a bit more of this in the future.
