Referendum (No.30) : Draft bill published

As an FYI, Minister Howlin has published a draft bill to be enacted if this amendment passes. This is the link to it : HOUSES OF THE OIREACHTAS (POWERS OF INQUIRY) BILL 2011 Based on an Irish Times article, a change to the draft has been to aid determining what is "general public importance" for the purposes of the bill.

Thanks for the link, a pity this couldn't have been published before the Dail recess this summer to allow for some decent debate on it in the lead up to the referendum. A terrible rail roading exercise on a hugely important new Oireachtas power.
