Ive bought a ford focus ghia over in uk and I am having a modifications put in whereby it has two accelerators put in. one either side of the brake in an automatic. Obviously when one is active the other wont work for safety reasons.

does anyone know if this kind of mods will affect vrt calculation as the sell on valueda must be less because of this mods (well important my eyes anyways). The reason im getting it modded in uk cause it would cost me 800 euro in ireland compared to 450 here.

Before u ask I donte qualify for primary medical cert . I'm not considered disabled enough even though I have paralysis in my right foot ankle and hip but because I can stand up im fine. If it was during boom times I would have gotten one no issues.

As the NCTS simply act on behalf of the Revenue, you will need to book and pay the full OMSP VRT on this.

Then, I would appeal to the VRT office arguing that the value of the car is less because of the modifications and that the OMSP should be reduced. Not sure how the VRT office will deal with this, they could argue that you could remove the mod?
