    hey

just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any wedding bands.
We are getting married Nov 2012 in Trim. Would love to find a band that can get the crowd up dancing, for all different age groups!!

    thanks in advance

We had HARLEQUIN for our wedding earlier this year.

THey are not cheap but are excellent. By far the best wedding band I have seen and everyone spoke very highly of them afterwards

I can highly recommend both Pyramid www.pyramidlive.com and Fraggle Rock www.fragglerock.it. Both superb at keeping the dancefloor full. They are both based in Galway but will travel as far as I know.

The Best Men, The Good Guys and the Conquerors. All great bands... I'm getting the Good Guys :)

We got married in November last year. We got the same group to do our wedding ceremony and reception and they were fantastic! The ceremony music had a real gospel feel and the evening was really upbeat, we danced the night away and everyone commented on them. It was Eclectic Spree - they had us come along to one of their practices to hear them before we booked. Dunno if they still do that, but it's handy cause you know what you're getting that way

It's my brother's band so you might say I've an interest but they'll be doing our own wedding next year: Amazing Apples. Brilliant at getting a crowd going and recently won a major Battle of the Bands in the Townhouse Bar in Galway.

The Ratzingers. They're not cheap but worth every cent.

theres a sticky at the top of the weddings board with 60 or 70 bands mentioned including all the ones above mentioned. If you search for any particular band online, youll see lots of commments like "brilliant" and "worth every cent" and "keep the dance floor filled", so how do you find the one?

Not feasible to go and see all the bands, and all bands are objectively brilliant if you read comments online, so you have a bit of work to find the one for you. Viewing and personal recommendations are the only way to narrow it down. Hit their websites and see do they have setlists and see if anything separates them for your taste.

ring your local hotels, trim castle and knightsbrook if youre up that way, and see what nights they have weddings on at the weekend (they have most weekends), go and view and get a feel for it.

Note: Always include the exact date and rough location when enquiring anywhere, could save you a trip if a band are already booked.
