Just letting people know that 091 Brewmasters are holding a brewing skills workshop in Tyrone House, Eyre Square.

The Ginger Beer that was started last month should be completely fermented by now, so this is an opportunity to demonstrate finishing skills:
    - siphoning
    - bottling & priming

And of course there will be some sampling. Please note that the brew is not complete, and is not carbonated.

We are going to kick off another large ferment at the event (another ginger beer) and hopefully make this a monthly event. People are welcome to bring their own home fermented beverages and snacks. Richard and Frantisek will be on hand to dispense brewing tips and advice.

This is a free event, open to non-members. It is the biggest (non-comsumption!) event that we have run and there is a fair bit of interest. You can follow the event on facebook here (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=272077959479588).

If people wish to 'bring and brew' there is bread yeast available (but better yeasts can be obtained from http://homebrewwest.ie ) and the Turbo Cider/wines are a bit of a hit.

Well loads of people turned up, and we got everything bottled.

Note that the brew that we put on last week, should be ready in the first week of november. Watch this space for scheduling, but will likely be the monday.
