quick question about power supplies

I've attached pictures of the power supply for my Yamaha MW10 mixer.. as you can see it uses a European plug, which up to now I've been using in conjunction with a UK adapter.. I was just wondering about the feasibility of snipping the European plug off and attaching a UK plug, is this advisable or should I continue with the current set-up of using the adapter. If it is possible to swap out the plug, is there any considerations I need to be aware of before I do it, aside from the basics of wiring a plug, with which I have no problem.

    thanks

Bit OTT on the oul photos there! We only needed a pic of the mains plug and lead. Definitely cut that off. You'll have a much more reliable connection. Have you done anything like this before? Do you know how to strip a cable safely; which is live and neutral etc.?
