Bosch Washing Machine

I would appreciate hearing from other customers of their experience with Bosch. I got a new machine in March and it is producing anything but what I desire at the end of the wash cycle. With little or no detergent added to wash, it finishes with clothes clogged with detergent that I have to rinse in a basin and then spin in machine before can hang out to dry. Bosch have finally agreed to replace the machine but I am wondering can I trust the replacement to do it's job or will it give me a disappointment again?? Any suggestions or tips will be appreciated.

sounds to me like you have the machine connected to the hot water instead of the cold supply -engineers can miss this as when they visit the water is cold in the cylinder but as your useing it the water is hot - that is the most common cause of the problem you describe -machine needs cold to rinse away detergent ,hot water cant
can you post the model number of the machine ?

OP I have a Bosch Exxcel Washer and also an Exxcel Dishwasher. Both are now 3yrs old and working fine.
My brother has the same 2 models for the past 4 years which are used VERY frequently in his house. He also has had no issues with them.

The machine is an Exxcel 7. It is definetly plummed to cold water as there is no hot water supply there at all. Dosen't matter if use powder or liquid or even no detergent, theclothes still come out stiff with detergent in them. The amount of water is far too little also - another big mistake with all these modern inventions.

might not be detergent on the clothes , as you said even when you don't put any in this appears - might be lime deposits ( sometimes calcium) when well water reacts with certain types of metal and heat this appears

b and q or woodies have a clip on magnetic scale inhibitor for the pipe going in to the back of the washing machine for €12 euro - you could try that and see if it solves your problem

It is detergent that is still in the clothes when they are finished -- had two technicians out and both proved that I am not imagining it but neither could come up with a solution so feel it's a fault in the machine. What I want to be sure of is that I can trust teh new one won't do the same?!

well can't gaurantee that new one will be better , but the engineers should feel guilty about accepting wages as they should be able to find that fault .

    Appearance
White streaks of fine powder left from undissolved detergent at the end of the wash cycle.

    Treatment
Re-wash the effected garments with no detergent making sure they are part of a small load.

    Cause & Prevention
    Cause
The washing machine is overloaded leaving insufficient space for the powder to dissolve properly.

    Prevention
Ensure a good turnover of clothes by not overloading the machine - load the machine correctly and do not overload

    Cause
The dosing device is placed into the machine in such a way that it is covered by clothes and the powder cannot disperse properly.

    Prevention
Place the dosing ball upright on top of the wash load towards the back of the machine.

    Cause
    Insufficient detergent is used.

    Prevention
Some powder detergents react with the minerals in hard water, forming a whitish residue that can be mistaken for undissolved detergent. The film can be avoided by using the recommended amount of detergent.

    Cause
Low water pressure in the home may mean that some of the detergent has not been flushed into the machine during the wash fill process. This would leave detergent in the drawer which could be flushed into the machine during rinsing.

    Prevention
Make sure all detergent is flushed into the drum during the wash fill
