Do I have to have a satelite dish to get Saorview?

Currently I have a Sony Bravia KDL26U2000 with rabbit ears in the back. I get RTÉ1 RTÉ2 TG4 and TV3. I have no other gadgets.
Can I just buy a saorview box or do I have to get an aerial/satelite dish installed on my roof?

    Thanks :)

Can you also get 3e and rte news now? if so you already have saorview.

It doesnt require a sat dish, just a compatible tv or set top box

No, I don't have those channels.
I don't have Saorview yet. I'm just wondering exactly what I need to get up and running.

Aerial required, follow the links below

Check for Saorview coverage in your area here - http://www.saorview.ie/make-the-switch/coverage-checker/

Unfortunately your Sony KDL-26U2000 isn't compatible and you'll require a Saorview STB with that TV.

Depending on your location and your proximity to a Saorview transmitter (strong signal areas) an indoor/set top aerial or attic might work.

Cheapest STB atm is the €50 Bush receiver from Argos.

hmmmm well my wonky bunny ears (one of which has snapped in half) gives me pretty good reception. So maybe it will work.

Have you heard good reports about the Bush receiver?

Yes I've one myself, great piece of kit for €50, it also lets you record via a usb drive or stick which is handy. If your tv is watchable on the rabbits ears at the moment connecting the ears to the receiver should give a perfect picture, much better than you have.
