Can someone explain what the hell this is?

Is the country this broke. The only explanation I can think of is that its a filming prop.

Can the word "recession" be stricken from the records , your honour.

There has been growth in the past two quarters, the recession has ended please give it up.

No, no, the recession is still on. Haven't you noticed ? Every few days on the radio there's some pundit explaining why it's still on, followed by another one explaining why it's over. Then someone clarifys that these are technically different recessions according to how they teach it in Economist School. It's all a bit subtle. Like saying your house was destroyed and your family washed away by Hurricane X only to have some weather nerd correct you and say it was by the aftermath which was technically part of a different event.

Anyhoo - as pointed out, it looks like a film prop, what with the green screen and all. I think they were looking for some sort of kippy road infrastructure in Mumbai but had to come here to get the really terrible ones.

Recession means reduced growth....depression means negative growth. Were still well and truly in a recession, ask all those guys who lost their job this month
