Is this new or old stock? Is it a combined receiver?

Combined as with HD/SD or Sat/Saor? It's satellite (DVB-S) only for both HD and SD channels and no card reader. It's new stock at least in Celbridge, and the kit contains receiver, sat finder, 60 cm dish, hdmi cable, component cable, roll of coax, and a rather sturdy wall bracket.

Got a kit last weekend, and although had to replace the original receiver due to a fault (it only received about half of the channels) am quite happy with it. It's a cheap and cheerful rebranded Philex HDS-600, similar to 420 and the picture quality seems fine to me. Dish is quite flimsy, but using my 2007 vintage Lidl 80 cm one with it so no problem there. Not fitting the new dish also saved me as Aldi wanted the full kit returned for a replacement. The new receiver picked up all the missing channels.

In case somebody's interested, the receiver is also capable of time shifting and recording on USB although haven't tried this yet.

Considering buying on of these, would only be for a bedroom so it wouldn't have to be great, anyone know if there is any in fonthill?

Do you guys think its worth the purchase in comparison to the likes of the HD kits in b&q?

Similar quality but at €49 in Aldi you can't really pass it up-the recording via usb and external hdd is a bonus.
