Do American Eagle still mark the full price of items on their packages?

(e.g if you bought a pair of jeans for $30 reduced from $70? They'd indicate a $70 value on the package).

If they do, take this into account when ordering.

Site has been down for the past hour.

Too many people using it or have they blocked traffic from outside the US

    The US is awake! :)

Good question. I actually don't know. It's been a while since I ordered from them.

Yep, ordered a few times from there and was never charged any customs.

But know plenty of people stung by the fact that they mark the full value of items (regardless of whether they're marked down, or with a clearance voucher).

Could well end up paying through the nose for the items.

not showing up on the us proxy in work, so I'd say the site is down.

Each time I ordered it had the reduced price that I paid on the package (and no postage cost).

DHL just rang me to say there was €15.75 owed for customs and VAT. still not too bad when you factor in 50% off the reduced prices.

my order total was $137.25 but they must not have included delivery on the package and they most definitely put on the reduced prices!

My order total was $137.25 with shipping - 8 items
Package arrived only marking one shirt on the outside. 6lb weight and i had to pay the delivery guy 13.70
