    Hi all,
Emailed grant office the other day to get an update on my grant application . Sent application early Aug, they were looking for.additional info round the 17th Sept which they received the 20th. Got email back saying it was currently bring assessed. How long does this take??

Got letter from Uni bout fee payment by the 30th Oct. Do you think I will get confirmation before then. Don't care about getting the cheques just don't need to be worrying about fees. Also want to apply for.student assistance fund but they ask about grant too

Unlikely you'll have it by the end of the month as each time you have to resubmit information you go back to the bottom of the pile so you're starting all over again!

They must have heard me complaining. Received preliminary notice of grant approval. Yay

This isn't true for all cases, I had to send in some documents and I got my confirmation about a week later!

Where did you get the email address from to contact your grant office?

Their email seems to be well hidden on the website. Mine was Clare Co Council so if there is an education section on your county council's website check there. I'd definitely advise emailing Croppy Bhoy, they seem more receptive to that form of communication :)

I'm going to start ranting in here as I got the same email on Tuesday and still have not been approved even though I gave them everything in July.... Limerick Co Co are the lowest office on earth. I could understand if this was first year but it is only a renewal and my cirs have not changed.. Didn't get my first payment until Jan for last years grant

I hear ya barking!! They are a disaster, it's unbelievable. Boyf was applying for grant last year and had everything sent in. Letter out saying things were not received. Assume they lost time. Unbelievably disorganised.
