went to system update e66 error

    hi guys, following on from my earlier thread yesterday
    i just went to update there
    first with downloading the system update onlin,e and then i tried it off the jonah lomu game disc.

    i got this image attached?

    anyone know what the prob is?
    i can still paly my backups and xbox is working fine

    Have you a samsung drive or a spoofed drive in your xbox

    samsung i think.
    i dont think its spoofed, i just got it flashed like
    (i dont know what u mean by spoofed actually)

    well thats your problem.
    Put the proper drive thats supposed to be in there back in.
    Flash it to stock
    > update
    >flash it back to CFW

    the samsung is the original drive like, i didnt change it or get my original drive replaced

    well thats your problem.
    Put the proper drive thats supposed to be in there back in.
    Flash it to stock
    > update
    >flash it back to CFW

    This didn't work for me when I tried this on a xbox I fixed with the same error, but I would recommend doing it first, the fix that worked for me was putting an hitachi drive into it, updating and then sticking the samsung back in again.

    Good to know I have to fix an xbox doing the exact same thing tommorow.
    Will do that if flashing back to stock dosent work.

    Worked for me anyway, when I restored to stock it would start the update but near the finish the screen would flicker and E66 error popped up every time, I used an old stock hitachi and worked straight off. No need to spoof the hitachi as anything just put it straight in
