When I set up the system I connected them with the HDMI cable but the screen said "cable not connected". So i connected with the DVI cable and it worked fine. Is there something I'm supposed to do to connect via HDMI or is there something broken? I'm running Win7 64bit.

No picture at all when conected via hdmi, even during startup (at BIOS/POST stage) or only in Windows?

Did you try to change monitor settings? Maybe you can change default Input?

When connected by the HDMI cable the screen just says "Cable not connected". I even bought a new cable just to make sure it wasn't that. If I plug in the DVI cable it works fine.
