    i have a viaccess card , do they renew them ?all i can see on the website is irdeto.

    Hi Guys,
    I'm also interested in getting Al jazeera sports.
    I have the Ferguson Ariva combo, it has Common interface and a smart card reader.
    Q. Would I have to just buy a card, or would I need to buy a CA module also ?

    Q. Is the commentary for SPL and Championship in English ?

    Thanks for any help. I would hope to buy the card for a Christmas present for myself.

    I know the Ariva supports Conax but dunno if it will support Viaccess or Irdeto.

    It's possible that there's 3rd party firmware available to make the onboard cardslot support many encryptions...

    SPL and Championship commentary has been in English any time I looked, though admittedly, I've not watched any on JSC this season.

    i bought a ariva for my dad and before i gave it to him i tested my viacess al jazeera card and it worked fine no problems

    Found them to be very quick and professional. Took about a week for the card to arrive. Sent e mail to activate the card as instructed and it was done in about twenty mins even though it was after nine in the evening. Good value too

    sound. i've done that before!

    i think al jazeera has to be the best value of any sports card today, art sport was good value several years back but the picture was worse than a bad stream on a pc for some matches.

    it would be good to have a list of all the reputable al jazeera dealers in the first post of this thread for the people wanting new subs and renewals.

    Yeah its a great value card, can't believe the amount of football it has live, it would be the perfect package for me if it had golf but can't complain.
