    Hi guys
I am a normal PAYE tax payer but last year registered as self-employed to get a tax clearance cert to apply for a contract job but then deregistered immediately as I got a PAYE job (typical!). So I was only registered as self-employed for a couple of days max, and obviously earned no self-employed income. WHat form do I need to fill out, a form 12 or do I need to fill out a form 11, declaring zero income under the self-employed section? Or do I need to pay and file at all given I had no income, and was only registered as self-employed momentarily?

    Thanks a mill!

The best thing to do is get a TRCN1 form, which is a tax head cancellation form. Send that in, and you'll not need to file any returns then.
