    A tracker mortgage is a mortgage that hunts you down and sends you to the financial graveyard. A lot of these appeared in the boom period of the 90's.

    Not if now understands what one is. He'll be really kicking himself if he is on a non-tracker mortgage that he didnt ask someone on the bus.

    A "tracker mortgage", is that one of those things you attach to your house in case it gets stolen so that the gardaí can track it to where it was taken!

    He's correct OP.

    A variable mortgage on the other hand tends to randomly change from a mortgage into a horse or a Car when you least expect it :pac:
