Who has bought heels from an American shoe site? Help with sizes?

I take a size 5 in Irish/Uk shoe sizes. I never take above a size 5 I fit into a 5 easily even in high heels and I have never had to buy a size 5 and a half or a size 6. The shoes I want to buy online are a pair of high heels and are only available in a USA size 7 or a size 8 and not a 7 and a half which some people advise me to get. Every time I look up a shoe size converter it says a Irish/Uk size 5 is either the same as a 7 or a 7 and a half there is no set answer every chart says something different. The site itself says a Uk size 5 is the same as a USA size 7 but a few people told me to get a 7 and a half but there not available.

So now I don't know if I should order a size 7 or a size 8 USA size. :/ Opinions?

I'd be inclined to go with a US 7 there.

I'd be inclined to go with a US 7 there.

That's what I thought too. I mean I do take a small size 5 so I think I will try the 7 because I feel n 8 will definitely be too big.

I'm size five and all my US heels are 7.5. 7 feels more like 4 and a half.

I probably would get a 7.5 but unfortunately they're sold out. So it's either a 7 or an 8 sadly.

Pop into Debenhams and try some Nine West shoes - they are american sized on the shoe itself generally.

I'd go with the 7, and if they are slightly too small you could get them stretched?

Are they high heels you'd wear with tights or bare feet? Then the 7.
Or high heeled boots that youd wear with socks? Then the 8.

If they have a fully covered toe/heel you could always go with the 8 and put in insoles?

It depends on the type of shoe and how much stuffing versus stretching you could do.

    What brand are the shoes?

I take an UK size 7 but I have US shoes in 9, 9.5 and 10!
