Cycleops or Tacx

    Hello,

Has anyone here used a Cycleops Wind Trainer . I understand from reviews that it can be very noisy. There are also some suggestions that it is limited in its resistance and that the user 'could overpower' it.
I am also looking at the Tacx Flow, mainly due to lots of reviews here and elsewhere that say say that power measurement is crucial in monitoring an effective training session. The Flow seems to be the most cost effective trainer in this regard. I accept that the Flow doesn't accurately measure power but has a repeatable set of figures that once you calibarate it properly, it can give an indicator of improvement.

As regards power measurements for Cycleops, itcan be used with Trainerroad.com to give virtual power. It also appeals to the gadget side of me as well.

I want to use the trainer over the winter to build up my endurance/strenght base so I would be interested in peoples view on this.
