Used iPhone activation

    Hi all,
I'm buying a used iPhone 4 today and don't really know how the activation process works. Presumably it's activated on someone else's laptop. Do I just plug it in, restore it and activate it on mine? Will my old iPhone 4 SIM work on it immediately?
    Thanks in advance,

    B

Your SIM should work in the phone straight away, don't hand over any cash until you've put your SIM in and confirmed that you can make a call.

When you get it home, connect to iTunes and you should be given the option to do a restore of the phone. Once restored, it will then activate the device.

That's brilliant, thanks guys. Yes the iPhone is locked to the same network as my SIM.
