Hairstyle for a round face?

What is a good hairstyle for a female with a round face that is relatively (but not hugely) wide with no discernible chin area, just round! I also had a lowish hairline so I don't ever wear it fully down - I clip back the front part over the top of my head, to give it some height. I don't use product in my hair, as I have skin allergies.

I had hair that was somewhat long and past my shoulders but it tended to hang down beside my face and emphasised the roundness. I have naturally unpredictable and very flicky hair and need to straighten down the bits that stick out way too much, which is why it tended to hang down. I would love to have hair that had volume and waves that were controllable - I have both, but they just don't work out! :P

At the moment I have hair just around my jawline with longish layers, as shorter layers looked a bit dodgy. However, again my hair hangs down and tends to be very flat looking. I didn't realise that it doesn't quite suit me, until yesterday when I had my photo taken and my face and round jaw area looked huuuuuge! My barnet never seems to look good!

If anyone has any tips for giving volume when drying or taming bug flicks without having to have them straightened down, I would love to hear any suggestions!
