    Hi all

Rufus my Airedale Terrier is now 18 weeks old and I'd like to get him into some obedience classes.

He has learned 'sit' so far with decent success, any bit of excitment/distraction and its more difficult though. To be expected at his age. We are learning 'down' at the moment too and he is getting the grasp of 'fetch' at play times also.

I would like to get him into some obedience classes and preferably with pups of around his own age and he hasn't got the opportunity to mix with other pups yet and have a good ole play.

My sisters and parents all own dogs but they are all small breeds and adult dogs (Rufus at 10 weeks was bigger than any of them) and have very little tolerence to Rufus bounding around them, pawing and jumping on them, playing basically :). So he hasn't had any other puppy company.

I want the classes to cement what he has learned so far and to give me the confidence to raise a healthy, happy and obedient dog.

I am based in Roscommon so if anyone had any recommendations for classes or had any advice I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Bull
