Phone (door) broken - landlord's responsibility?

    The phone (not a landline, the one that you use when someone buzzes you at apartment entrance) is not working, I can hear them but they can't hear me.

    Shoudl I get onto the letting agency to get it sorted?

    It is actually the managment company who is responsible. All the LL can do is contact them on your behalf.

    If it's an apartment block, then the management company may be the ones to cover the cost of fixing it (unless of course you broke it yourself - smashy smashy!:P) but contact your letting agent and let them deal with the landlord and management company.
