What was Bernard Brogan thinking about when he used the Sam Maguire as a footstool? Seriously embarrassing for him.

I wouldn't go as far as to execute him. But he certainly should receive a suspension and should not be considered for an all-star.

definitley. its about time someone started telling these Dublin players they cant go around abusing the cup. I reckon a 3 month ban would be appropriate for this disgusting behaviour. resting his feet on a cup in a humourous fashion, who ever heard of the likes of that nonsense. The Sam McGuire cup is for putting babies in and throwing around streets of Tuam after a feed of beer.

I was a fan of Brogan till now. Now I can see that he is just pure evil.

I'll bet PP will give your money back if you promise to put it straight back onto Arsenal for the premiership ;)

Yes he has, won't be hearing from him for a while.

Please do not feed the trolls or suggest that someone should be banned. Technically the latter is back seat modding, it is against the forum charter.

I was not suggesting he should be banned, that was a formality he never lasts much longer than 1 or 2 posts.
I was actually curious as to why he bothers posting in that nature all the time.

Luckily we have about 3-4 years before we have to give Sam back ...

Still wouldn't be so quick to throw all your eggs in one basket! You don't know what could happen in the national league in and in next years championships. Anything is possible. Like this year we were sure Cork would win the All Ireland again but no it was a sure turn around we all thought Kerry would but no twas a turn around that Dublin did. You wouldn't have expected some teams to be taken out of the championships so soon and others to still have been in it this year. Could be any county that could win next year not ruling out Cork, Kerry or Dublin mind but there is still a chance for other teams like Kildare and a couple of others particularly new teams like donegal and down.

Ok lets stay grounded here, defending a title is alot harder than winning it in the 1st place so lets appreciate that. For now we`ll enjoy the off season reflecting on a great year for us Dubs after a long wait. Cockiness though has to stay in check.

We're still talking about winning the Munster football nearly 20 years ago :D

LOL.... I knew I should've included a severe dose of sarcasm in my post! The most ardent of Dubs fans wont expect a repeat of this year. We might even let Kildare or Wexford win Leinster next year!

in fairness, in this ridiculous thread that you posted in, I think most people should have realised you were being sarcastic:pac:

A track record of 2 wins in 29 years for a county with 1/3rd of the population of the whole country would indicate that the GAA don't need to worry too much about what the Dubs will do to Sam. Perhaps if ye made the annexation of the commuter belt (Louth, Meath and Laois etc) official and got up to half the population ye might even win it once a decade which still wouldn't expose the cup to too much danger. ;)

I'll tell ya one thing in all seriousness from my involvement with underage teams, it wont be long before we have some of the African (Nigerian) lads come through on the development teams

This simple looking at population garbage does my tits in. We haven't got all that many more actual clubs than the other counties and don't cover that big a geographical area and don't have that big a GAA community all that said, so this thing that somehow we should be winning an All Ireland every three four years is stupid.

And Dublin has 1.2 million, Ireland overall has over 6 million people in it. That's not one third either. This year in GAA was Dublin's as our many underage finals have shown and you'll be seeing a lot more All Ireland's staying in the capital and I wouldn't rule out seeing the Liam McCarthy there and all the way things are going my bitter culchie friend!

The only way to deal with this kind of behaviour is a ban .. a long ban .... for Paul Galvin :)
