Im missing the icons of Dawn of war and HW monitor. When in control panel the notification icon is also missing

I also put the dawn of war disk in but it wont start up

    Really strange stuff?

Also some time after playing bf3, I get a windows thing asking me to change the design for better performance (Also says the performance is been poor) or somthing along those lines

    dodgy stuff :(

Have you installed the specific drivers you're meant to for BF3? i've heard of people getting errors since they installed those.. Missing icon picture is a strange on though. Can you right click -properties-customize on the dawn of war icon, and you might be able to put it back manually from there. As for the disk not starting up... Is it that it doesn't autorun or will it not show up at all in my computer?

Whats the issue listed in the log? Anyways you could try Rebuilding the icons Cache. Worth a try to fixing the icons!

Try copying the CBS.log to your desktop, then opening it in notepad

If you have the windows dvd boot off it, startup repair>Command prompt and I *think* you can run sfc /scannow from that, looking at that log I'm not sure but its possible the files cannot be repaired as they are in use by the OS

No clue about OEM discs, usually when you boot off a Windows 7 DVD a spash screen with a big "Install Now" button appears, below this is an option for startup repair, once your Windows 7 installation is detected you can enter "Command Prompt". OEMs customize these things sometimes and unfortunately I can't assist you if thats the case, but look for "Startup Repair" (Called "repair your computer").
Btw if you want to exit booting off the DVD without saving changes, eject the DVD and restert the machine. Your data will obviously be fine provided you havn't deleted/formatted partitions etc.
