Multi LNB fitting

    Am fitting a 1.1 triax with 3 LNB's.
The prime will be at 26E with the other 2 on 19.2 and 13E respectively.

I understand that the 26E is weakest so will be mounted in centre of dish and dish aligned to 26E and tightened up, and that the other 2 lnb's are fitted to the right of it, (as you look from front of dish).

How do I know where to mount 19.2 and 13? Is there a fixed measurement between them, trial and error with a sat meter? What angle is holder mounted at, higher or lower than 26e, where on dish do LNB's point, etc etc?

I may have to fit my 28E LNB to this dish also, (presently mounted on a Sky Dish) and realise that it will be a squeeze between it and 26E and will be mounted to the left, but I believe it will work ok.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers.

    TC

What is the minimum dish size for midlands looking for 26e ? Aside from Aljazerra Sport is this satellite worth the tuning in ?

Just set up 13e/19e on 80cm dish for some additional sport so before I change set up from temporary to permanent fix on side of the house I am l wondering if I should put up 4th LNB and get 4to1 Disec switch.

The distance between lnbs mainly depends on your dish size.

The closer you get to each horizon from a high point of due south (about 6-10 degrees west for Ireland), the lower the satellites appear so 13E will require more dish elevation than 19E which will require more than 26E.

However, with the dish focused on 26E, an increased elevation effect for the offset positions has to be achieved by lower mounting of their lnbs, as the beams arriving from a higher angle will be deflected to a lower focal point.

As for pointing the lnbs, the Triax multi lnb bar is curved to suit the dish. If you use something else, it may be a case of tweaking for best effect. You must have seen plenty of photos at this stage . . .
