I've been to a few of them with the missus a few times and never found them that great to be honest. She got a really fantastic leather jacket from Zara for €15 once but that was one item in a year of living there.

There was and possibly still is a woman who seems to buy items from Russia and sells them in her shop, she's near Des Kellys. It had some really interesting stuff but I never got the chance to browse it properly.

It would be quite a walk. There is an Ofxam and an Enable close to one another.

Which you reckon is the better choice?

They are both quite good and within a door or two of each other, so you can visit both.

16/16A bus from Dorset St will drop you across from Oxfam on Georges St. Or a 9.

Yeah I've been to all of them as I live nearby. I've found some nice stuff, mainly in Vincent's and the Enable Ireland near Tesco. As with all charity shops it depends on the week that's in it and also your taste in clothes as well! But Vincent's and Enable seem to have the most consistent quality in their stuff, I find anyway. They're both good for books and other stuff like bed linen and kitchenware too.

If you're going to George's Street you could go all the way down to the Simon shop on Camden street and you'd pass a Vincent's, Enable and Age Action on your way, and maybe others I'm forgetting. It's a fun walk, I find :)

Oh and Oxfam in general can be overpriced.

I think the Oxfam on George's Street is awful, never found anything decent there out of all the times I've been in. The charity shops on camden street are good for a browse I find.

Had a change of plan today. Didn't get to phibsboro. Done georges street and camden street. Got 2 winterjackets 20e. Nice charity shops around that way. Be visiting again!
