    Hi all. Came out of a harsh breakup a few months ago and I have no contact with her anymore. Anyway I'm living abroad now as I moved here to be with the ex. I have signed up for internet dating, about a week ago, and have got chatting to about 4 or 5 girls. Everything seems to go well, I joke a bit and tell them about myself and ask about them etc but with 4 of them now I've mentioned meeting up, and that's it, end of communication. Christ my self-esteem took some whack after being dumped a few weeks after having moved country for someone, and this is making it worse!
    I'm not coming across as needy, desperate or any of that nonsense, that is not me. But I just don't see the point in wasting time with message after message if the intention is not to meet up for a drink or something at some stage?
    Should I just keep trying this way? I'm just about to give up on it, I've never met girls off the internet before it's just my social scene here is fairly limited at the mo.

    You're suffering from feelings of rejection. So be more cautious before exposing yourself to possible further rejection. Test the water a little. Ask them if they would meet someone in real life from the site, or if they have ever met anyone off it. You should be able to tell from their response how ineterested or open to meeting up they might be.
