Prentice in Portadown have posted parts to me before, however its not an advertised service, I don't think its a regular thing to be honest.

Or go up north if you really need an OEM part that those fellas do not have
Otto carry most OEM parts without the BMW logo

I recently got a brake light switch from N.W. Keohoes in Newry for my E34. Original equipment and fast service, just 2 days later and my part had arrived despite the car being 22 years old. They now supply parts for a lot of other manufacturers since they (sadly) lost their dealership earlier this year, BMW being one of them. Hope this helps :)

    Very useful thread thanks!

Just wanted to add that I tried Otto in Cork for a few parts last year and found them pretty pricey, was it just the parts I was looking at or have other people found the same?

Domestically, I find Murphy & Gunn very good, they have a discount for BMW-Driver.net members and Ken is very helpful.

    I'm a member of a UK bmw forum: http://www.bmwland.co.uk

On that forum you can directly contact and buy at a discount from BMW Cotswold Group, they have their own section in the forum and they check it regularly throughout the day and will come back with quotes usually within an hour or two.

I have bought a number of items from them, in one instance I got a parking sensor for my X5 delivered to my door from them for 50 quid cheaper than my local $tealer quoted me!

They wont screw you on delivery either, On the likes of the parking sensor I don't think they even charged me delivery, they just stuck it in a jiffy bag and posted it...

Funny enough, there was a chap on eBay a few weeks back selling brand new PDC sensors for about €50 shipped to Ireland. I bought two of them, should have bought a pile of em.
