Hotpoint Washing Machine query

    The machine is seven years old, was working fine until Monday when the door stopped locking. it seems there is a problem with the locking mechanism in that the door won't catch when it's pushed closed.

    has anyone else had this problem?
    Can it be repaired?
    Is it worthwhile as the machine is 7 years old?
