I've just been phoning around pricing 3/4 inch normal guage hydradare pipe, cheapest is 85e for 150m roll, dearest is 125e. Lad selling me the dear stuff says there is big variation in quality, is he BS ing me or is it true? What do you guys think?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

It's very hard to know blue5000

What would I do if I were you? I'd buy a foot of the cheap one and bring it to the other place and put them side by side. Also investigate the text stamped on them.

I'm reallt not sure after that :o

There is no big variation in the quality of the ordinary gauge stuff. However, I would never use it. It stands up to no abuse - a small stone falling into the trench on top of it when you are laying it is enough to put a crack in it. I'd advise you to spend the few € extra and go for the heavy gauge stuff. You'll not regret it.

Sounds as though he is BS ing you but do check as Muckit says. You might find they are the same.

I bought the 150m roll of h/g from Connaught Gold 2 months ago for €82 which was cheaper than the local builder suppliers but I didnt check the differences quality wise.
