    Anyone know how to get around this head wrecking program. I have a windows 7 laptop. Its currently showing all updates installed on windows update and on vaoi update. I have avg 2012 installed. It meets all the requirements for connecting but every time I run the stupid test I get:

    Step 2: Scan Results

    FAILED TESTS

    Operating-System :: Windows Security Patches/Hotfix Updates

    Im using the same laptop i used last year. I ran it last year and all worked fine and nothing has been changed on laptop. They reset it this year so I have to do it again.

    Aint no way around it! Have you tried updating that specific problem?

    Only actual way around it is by spoofing your mac address on another laptop that will pass the security test! But its probably easier to just update unless your good with computers!

    I don't what the problem is. Windows update is up to date and includes updates for all ms products. Avg is up to date. All other apps are up todate. Is a licenced and activated copy of Windows 7. Exact same settings as last year which worked fine. It meets all the spec listed on tcd connect.

    If I were you I'd just go to one of the network clinics. They're really nice in there, it shouldn't take long, and they'll (obviously) be able to give you exact answers, or at least, better than you'll find on boards.

    You can book there. I'd expect you'll be in and out in 30 minutes and they'll get you connected no problem.
