Hey, I've been having trouble opening Hotmail and Youtube on my laptop lately. I use Chrome these days but I've also tried Firefox and Internet Explorer. I'm not very tech savvy so don't really know what to do. I can get into most pages (I don't use many different ones) so its quite irritating that I can't use the few I want to use. All I get is:

If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox

I don't know what much of this means. Is there any good reason for some pages opening and others not opening?

You don't use google chrome do you? ;)

So it's happening in each browser?

Bit of a longshot, but what anti virus do you have installed and when was the last time you ran a scan?
