Image Gallery Software for Website

    Hi,

Just wondering what software people are using for image galleries on their websites?

Looking for something that lets me categorise images.

    e.g. category 1 broken into 1a and 1b

On the lookout for something simple that's easy to implement and to which images can be easily added. I don't need any ability to sell images.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi, I don't use lightroom.

I have web skills so no problem with installing/configuring web-based software. Seems to be quite a few packages out there but not sure which is best.

Your web skills sound very very limited :D

    Try picasa.

I do a bit of web design, normally with php and mysql but I don't want to write a custom gallery when there are so many open-source solutions out there.

Basically, I have some images that I want to categorise and make available to a 3rd party. Just looking for a simple scalable solution.

I've used Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/). Recommended. Typical LAMP/WAMP app. and open-source.
