O2 dongle

    Hey all,
Just after getting 02 wireless broadband through the dongle portable modem thingy. I chose 02 because they had a good student offer. Trying it tonight though and it's increibly slow at times. I attempted to have a look at the TV3 home page just now, and it's still loading a few minutes later. It's worse than dial up over a decade ago. I'm in Ranelagh in Dublin, and was told the coverage would be good, so I'm quite surprised at how slow it is. Has anyone had similar problems with O2? If so, is it particularly bad with O2, or something one will get across the board? I have a week to make my mind up, and can't see myself sticking with it if it's always this slow.

    Thanks.

Send it back, it's not going to get any better for you. This is one of the many limitations of 3G technology. It cannot be guaranteed to anyone, anywhere.

Funny enough as I hit reply to this post my 3 connection dropped... tried to log onto the router and got this message

    "Login error!
Sorry, somebody is operating on this gateway, please login later."

Excellent... anyways used o2 once or twice and wasn't too impressed, but I have used a meteor dongle in Rathmines and Ranelagh a few times and it was aok, more than good enough to do things.. I know there is a lot of variables but found the meteor one to be decent there... also where I live now meteor is far superior to the 3 internet too ....just my 2c ...so yeah return it if it sucks
