On a UK crime fighters program a policeman said - best as I can remember -that under police reform act they can seize a car being driven in an anti social manner.

Is there anything like that in Ireland? I think there is something in section 51? about driving without due consideration and heard of it being invoked for boy racers 'lapping', but no power to seize as far as I know

As far as I am aware once a vehicle is taxed , nct'd , insured ,etc then even if it is involved in anti social behaviour the Gardai unfortunately have no power to impound it.
