IMDB for Books ?

    does anyone know of a good internet database for books that does the same as IMDB for movies?

    looking for a site that will suggest books based on your rating or previous books...

    i like reading true crime and autobiographies...
    i'm a really really slow reader !! so investing time in a crap book is frustrating :-)
    if i could breeze through them quickly it wouldn't bother me too much :-)

    Most good books are made into films.

    Saves an awful lot of hassle.

    And lots of terrible books are made into films too. Many good books are made into awful films. Still doesn't answer the OP!

    You could start rating stuff on Amazon, then it recommends stuff to you.

    Or there's some websites designed for recommending stuff:
