Bank machine trouble

I just tried to use my boi card in a very old aib bank machine kiosk and the first time I tried it said it could only give me a fifty .......... No problem... I picked it but then it made the noises to say it's getting money counted. Then bam... "this ATM has made a minor temporary error" then it went back to the insert card screen .. I got no money from it.

So I tried again... Picked fifty and then it said this bank machine is out of order and stopped working.


I do have my card

But will I now be missing €100 from my account for nothing ?

Something similar happened to me with an AIB machine, but the money was not talen out of my acc.
But who can be certain. If you have phone or internet banking check your balance.

Great excuse! Did you drop down a whores pants or stick it up your nose?

Something very similar happened to me before.

Note the time and the machine you used. Contact the bank to see what money has been deducted from your account. If there has been too much deducted, hopefully there should be corresponding excess cash in the machine next time it is counted (not sure if I explained that perfectly). Anyway, if there is, they will give you your money back.

Did you not hear that the banks are fooked - they don't have the money to give you or anyone else. This could be the start of Armageddon...

I used to do technical support for ATMs for a well known bank, this type of thing happens everyday but it's best to check your bank account give the bank a call and they will be able to find out what happened usually the ATM creates a series of logs to say if cash was dispensed or not.

last time this happened to me it spat out a small docket saying "your account has not been debited". Any half decent ATM will be designed to know that no money was paid out

I'll give them a shout in the morning so to find out what the Craic is.

This machine was ancient .. Didn't spit a receipt at me to say anything.

It was the texaco / spar in tallaght with supermacs.

Checked my account earlier and only one of the failed transactions showed up and said it took €50 out

Then just after it €50 debit back into my account so it fixed itself there thankfully

Now I'm wondering is my bank card doing something to these machines

Just used an boi ATM in dunness and it did the same to that !

Used the one next to it and it was fine

Is my card weird ?

The same happened to me last year.I rang the bank and they told me to write down the time and place of the Atm i was using, send the details into my account branch.

TWO WEEKS till the money was credited back to my account!!
