quick question , heading away for a while and have borrowed a spare battery for my 550d. Its a cheap one from ebay , (not canon) .
The original battery says its 7.2 V 1120 mAh ., while the spare battery says its 7.4v and 1700 mAh.
Question is can i use the spare battery or could the diff in voltage be a problem ?

No the slight difference in voltage will not do any harm.
