Just checked Twitter on my laptop(twitter app on my phone needs replacing)...looks like the lad has broken his neck...

    Really hope he'll be OK...

Ya,from what I can find, it seems to be a neck/spinal injury so can't be good

    Crazy stuff altogether...

But if I'm correct didn't Dion Dublin break his neck and made a full recovery and returned to football?

Kaka broke his neck also. Full recovery from a possibe paralysis-inducing spinal fracture due to a swimming pool accident AFAIK.

BBC report doesn't mention neck injury. Head Trauma can be desperate even if his neck is alright, I just hope he is ok whatever it is.

Read on twitter before anywhere else was reporting it that he was on a drip while they were working on him before they put him in the ambulance. How accurate that is I don't know, just hope he makes a full recovery.

It's confirmed on SSN now that he is in a stable condition after head injury

That's good news, well better than an neck injury

SSN just reported that he has just had a scan and got the all clear, just suffering a bad concussion.
    Good news indeed!

    Bender hehe

How long were you waiting to us that one...

    Yup, hopefully he's alright.

Good signs are that SSN haven't got it as a top story anymore - as opposed to the coverage it would get if it was more serious. Flies on shyte comes to mind.

Does your mammy know you're up?

Any other context that would be funny. And at least he waited until reports the lad was ok!

Fairly harsh to criticise a news station over that, imo. News of a serious injury is more interesting and would pull in more viewers than a mild concussion, whether it's moral or not.

It wasn't that harsh a comment to be fair...
