    Hi Folks

Here is an odd one for you. I have googled for a resolution but I cannot find anything.

I googled ther apple site and somehow managed to hit Block this site......

And now I cannot get into apple.com at all. I appreciate today they are going to be busy but I don't think that is the reason why I cannot access it.

Has this happened to anyone before. Does anyone have any idea of what I am talking about or how I managed to do it. I am at a loss.

I got the following message when I click www.apple.com

    Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://www.apple.com/" on this server.
    Reference #18.1bc0f3d9.1317756960.367387f8

    Help me please.....

The site opens fine so somehow you have managed to add it to a blacklist either in your browser, your firewall or your AV. Alternatively if you are trying from a work machine the company has blocked it.

What is your OS, browser, firewall and AV.

That's an Akamai edge server message. If you're seeing that, you haven't blocked www.apple.com locally but Apple's CDN provider was unable to give you the requested site for some reason (maybe content updating, config change, internal Akamai glitch... only Akamai knows for sure).

I occasionally see these (identical format, different ref code) on an Akamai-hosted site I use daily. It usually starts working again within minutes.

    Hi folks

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

It appears to have to rectified itself. I can now browse the apple site.

    Thanks again
