    hello recently got a 2nd hand mac desktop from adverts.
    its not able to pick up wifi knew that before i brought. but seller said i could get usb wifi adopter.
    what usb wifi adopter would be suitable.

    Mac os x version 10.4.11
    Processor Dual 500MHz power PC G4
    Memory 512 mb sdram
    thanks for any help first time useing are mac

    Ok, based on what you said, you have a PowerMac G4 with Gigabit Ethernet. You need an AirPort Card, get one like the one here, and here. Here are some instructions for installing the card.

    That machine is more than 11 years old, so don't expect stellar performance from it. You should get some more RAM as well, check here. The machine you have takes up to a maximum of 2GB of RAM.

    If you get the machine working, get a copy of Ten Four Fox, a version of Firefox for the PowerMac, and hope you don't encounter any Adobe Flash as you use the internet.
