I have seen this functionality with music programs. Ones that will take a downloaded media file, identify it and get info such as album title, artist etc...
I am curious whether the same thing is possible with all media files, e.g. Movie files, documentaries, series etc etc? Anything downloaded via any mechanism.

E.g. A divx movie downloaded from a torrent site.

XBMC does this, I'm sure lots of other media players do as well.
