He'll always have his fashion career.

I believe he recently opened a bad in Manhattan as well.

He's cleared the waivers and is now with the Connecticut Whale in the AHL. Should be an interesting season for him, if he lasts the season.

He's been assigned to the Whale. Should be interested to see if he reports. Then again, he is being paid $4 million for the year. He'd be crazy not to finish out the contract.

After a quick stop to the minor leagues, Sean Avery could shortly find himself back in the NHL.

The New York Post confirmed a report Sunday afternoon that the New York Rangers will place the 31-year-old forward on re-entry waivers Monday.

Should Avery be claimed, the team would have him for a portion of his salary and cap hit. The Rangers are splitting his salary after they claimed him off re-entry waivers from the Dallas Stars on March 3, 2009.

According to the New York Post, if Avery goes unclaimed, he would be eligible to play for the Blueshirts on Thursday, when they'll host the Anaheim Ducks at Madison Square Garden.

Avery was sent to AHL Connecticut after failing to make the Rangers' roster out of training camp. He had 3 goals in 76 games for New York last season. Avery has a goal and seven penalty minutes in two AHL contests this season.

The Rangers are off to a 3-3-3 start and have scored only 20 goals in those nine games

The Rangers certainly need something to kick start their season, but whether Avery is the man they need remains to be seen...
