I have my macbook over 3 years now and Ive noticed that the click is not working anymore. It's almost as if the key is pressed down.

Also the other thing I've noticed is that sometimes when I'm typing, the text is fully selected and then deleted when I start typing again. This would be the case if the trackpad is selecting all of the text.

Does anyone know if this is a major problem to fix and if it's worth spending the money to get it fixed?

    Thanks

I have the same problem on my now almost 5 year old macbook, also the battery dosnt work so ithas to be plugged in all the time but other then that it works perfectly :p

my solution to the trackpad issue was to buy a bluetooth mouse and thenyou can tell the macbook to disable the trackpad and click when an external mouse is connected, this works fine for me as i just use it for internet and email now
