Hi we're Saint Yorda and we play pop-music!

We are from Cork and we are playing in An Réalt Dearg this Thursday at nine.

Our influences are LCD Soundsystem, Pictureplane, Grouper, Portishead, Radiohead, Beach House and others.

You can download a collection of demos that we recorded on http://www.reverbnation.com/saintyorda or our bandcamp, soundcloud etc

"Languid and cool, a bit foggy, these songs make a great soundtrack to chilly, gray fall days like. There are vocals with some wavering echo and reverb, skeletal electronic beats and a scattering of bleeps and bloops - syncopated ... danceable in a kind of codeine-induced way"
    — Dashiell, Hollow Press

“the potential shown on a collection of demos entitled some songs that
we recorded with cathal is very promising indeed. Dark, haunting
vocals soaked in reverb set an eerie atmosphere”
    —  Fiona Apple, Who are Cork’s Rising Music Stars? - connector.tv

“In true 60′s style these guys play a tune for a couple of minutes and
cut it off before you’ve had you’re fill. Bravo!”

Absolutely brilliant, Im not a goth fan but I love the surf guitars sounds of the 50s, this is a great sound, seriously. All the melodies and musicianship are top top quailty. Who needs weed when this music gives u the exact same feeling for free. Keep it up Saint Yorda.
